Let me introduce myself. I'm Joan Harakal, a realtor with Coldwell Banker, Stamford Office. Originally from England, I was educated and spent my earlier years in London. My first career was fashion modeling (not today, as a grandmother of 8!) with showings in London, New York and San Francisco. My 'claim to fame', is having arrived in the United States the same year as the Beatles. It was while in California that I fell in love with America. Other than a short hiatus to the UK, I have resided here since. And I am proud to say I am an American, having become a naturalized citizen of this great country.
Through the years, I've experienced a variety of careers. It wasn't until 1985, when I became a licensed realtor, that I discovered my true passion; being a professional real estate agent. It is a tremendous challenge and opportunity to work 'one-on-one' with individuals and families who are facing their greatest financial decision: buying or selling a home. I personally am involved in every aspect of a transaction, and one of the most important factors, is to be an exceptional listener. To learn the wants and needs and expectations of a client, is the only method in garnering their confidence and trust. Once the direction has been established, then my expertise and market knowledge can explore all the options in obtaining the ideal match between buyers and sellers. I attribute my continuing success to the philosophy and commitment, that each and every client is my number one priority. This assures their reliance on my judgments, decisions and that I will always provide that 'extra effort' on their behalf. In return, my reward has been in acquiring ongoing and lasting friendships with many wonderful clients.
I am indeed fortunate to be in a business environment, where determination, sincerity and a genuine 'people caring' approach, provides the gratification that you did indeed 'make a difference' in somebody's life. If you have any real estate requirements, please do call me or email directly. I anticipate acquiring a new friendship.
